Questions and answers from customers

Is Apparent Barefoot safe to use on PGG Wrightson Turf grass called STADIA?

  1. Q Is Apparent Barefoot safe to use on PGG Wrightson Turf grass called STADIA?
Asked by Doug K on February 13, 2022 10:14 pm
    Answered by the admin

Barefoot Selective Herbicide does not refer to the product's safety if used in Perennial Ryegrass cultivars like Stadia.  The only cool-season grasses on the registration are bent and fescue.  You may choose to conduct an 'off-label' trial with DSMA at your own risk on your Stadia turf blend, and if so, you should do this in an inconspicuous area.

  5. Q Is this safe on Zoysia grass?
Asked by David on October 27, 2021 11:27 am
    Answered by the admin

Zoysia is not listed as a species anywhere on the Barefoot Selective Weedkiller label, so it is hard to say with certainty whether it is safe to use or not.  It is not listed in the list of turf species not to be used on, so a trial would be worthwhile in a small, discreet area to test if damage or death may occur.
