Description

Combination Oral Anthelmintic For Sheep And Lambs (Active Ingredients: Levamisole Hydrochloride @ 42g/L & Fenbendazole @ 25g/L)

Similar or comparable to Duocare Oral Anthelmintic For Sheep (Virbac)

WSD Combination Oral Anthelmintic For Sheep And Lambs is a broad-spectrum treatment for internal parasites of sheep and lambs- treating roundworms and tapeworms. The drench contains Fenbendazole, a member of the benzimidazole family of drenches (white), and Levamisole, a member of the levamisole (clear) family of drenches.

It is effective against benzimidazole and levamisole-sensitive strains of the following internal parasites:
  • Barber’s pole worm – Haemonchus contortus
  • Small brown stomach worm – Ostertagia spp
  • Black scour worm – Trichostrongylus spp
  • Small intestinal worm – Cooperia spp
  • Thin-necked intestinal worm – Nematodirus spp
  • Intestinal threadworm – Strongyloides papillosus
  • Hookworm – Bunostomum spp
  • Nodule worm – Oesophagostomum columbianum
  • Large-mouthed bowel worm – Chabertia ovina
  • Large lungworm – Dictyocaulus filarial

WSD Combination Oral Anthelmintic For Sheep And Lambs also aids in the control of;

  • Tapeworm – Moniezia expansa
  • Whipworm – Trichuris ovis

WSD Combination Oral Sheep and Lamb drench is  is a suspension of 25g/L fenbendazole-a benzimidazole (BZ) – in a solution of 40g/L Levamisole, for oral use as a drench. When used as directed, it is safe to use on pregnant and non-pregnant animals of any age. WSD Combination Drench aids in the ovicidal activity in sheep and lambs. For this to be beneficial, treated sheep and lambs should not be placed on clean pasture until 12 hours have elapsed after treatment. The simultaneous administration of a BZ and levamisole may be effective against worm parasites resistant to either drenches administered singly or against strains of Ostertagia resistant to ML drenches.

On many farms, WSD Combination Oral Anthelmintic For Sheep And Lambs is an effective treatment for worm infestations due to stomach, small and large bowel parasites. It is particularly useful to treat an infestation by mature and immature worms in animals grazing pastures known to be moderately or heavily contaminated with worm larvae. WSD Combination Drench is highly effective but without residual effect against barber pole worm (Haemonchus) and can be used to treat haemonchosis.
