Starrdust-Pro Insecticidal Powder is an industrial-strength dusting powder for controlling various insect pests in various domestic and industrial situations. Starrdust-Pro Insecticidal Powder is the only insecticidal dust available that also contains an IGR (insect growth regulator). Starrdust Pro is revolutionary in pest management because it combines a powerful knockdown adulticide and a long-lasting IGR larvacide.

Starrdust Pro Insecticidal Powder contains Permethrin & Triflumuron. Stardust Pro firstly flushes out, then knocks down much of the adult population. It then provides lasting, safe control of the juveniles that arise afterwards.
Stardust Pro contains 20g/kg Permethrin, which is twice as much as most other ordinary dusts on the market. Permethrin is the ingredient that ‘does the actual killing’ of insects that come in contact with it. It is manufactured from a purified, higher grade of Permethrin compared to 25:75 formulations. This means Starrdust Pro provides twice the amount of active ingredient, which is applied at half the rate of ordinary permethrin dust products. A single bucket of Starrdust Pro Insecticidal Powder goes twice as far as ordinary 10g/kg permethrin dust insecticides.
The Triflumuron in Starrdust Pro Insecticidal Powder is an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR), making it effective on nymphs and larvae. Triflumuron works as a chitin synthesis inhibitor which prevents the proper formation of the cuticle in the early stages of the nymphs and larvae growth. This results in early death when they moult because they do not develop an outer skeleton.
Because most products work on adults and juveniles and not on eggs, it is common to find the population of an insect decline rapidly after treatment but then recovers some weeks later. This is because eggs have hatched, and the juveniles subsequently repopulate the treated areas. With Starrdust Pro Insecticidal Powder, you can get long-term control because it contains the insect growth regulator (IGR), Triflumuron. This active targets the emerging juvenile pests as they hatch from their eggs, preventing them from moulting during their life cycles. This provides long-lasting control with a different mode of action.
