Impala Fungicide

Impala Fungicide combines a dual systemic action to provide broad spectrum control of over 10 fungal diseases in turf. Impala Fungicide is an effective combination of two fungicides (Azoxystrobin and Triticonazole) to prevent and control diseases in turf and lawns.

Impala’s two active constituents work outside and inside the plant, helping prevent early fungal infection and establishing disease control, controlling all life cycle stages of turf diseases.

Active Ingredients: Azoxystrobin @ 96g/L & Triticonazole @ 194g/L

Impala Fungicide IMPALA Turf Culture

Description

Impala Fungicide

Active Ingredients: Azoxystrobin @ 96g/L & Triticonazole @ 194g/L

Impala Fungicide combines a dual systemic action to provide broad spectrum control of over 10 fungal diseases in turf. Impala Fungicide is an effective combination of two fungicides (Azoxystrobin and Triticonazole) to prevent and control diseases in turf and lawns. Impala’s two active constituents work outside and inside the plant, helping prevent early fungal infection and establishing disease control, controlling all life cycle stages of turf diseases.

Impala Fungicide is protective & curative with dual systemic activity (both active constituents), killing disease & giving systemic plant protection for broad-spectrum control of over 10 major turf diseases including;

  • Anthracnose (Colletotrichum graminicola),
  • Brown Patch [leaf, crown & root] (Rhizoctonia solani),
  • Dollar Spot (Sclerotinia homoeocarpe, Clarireedia homoeocarpa),
  • Fairy Ring (Basidiomycetes spp.),
  • Fusarium (Fusarium nivale, Microdochium nivale),
  • Grey Leaf Spot (Pyricularia grisea),
  • Helminthosporium Disease (Bipolaris spp, Drechslera spp, Exserohilum spp),
  • Pythium Leaf Blight, Pythium Root Rot, Seedling Damping Off (Pythium spp),
  • Take-All Patch (Gaeumannomyces graminis var. avenae)

Ectotrophic Root Infecting Fungi (ERI) [Autumn strategy]

  • Spring Dead Spot (Ophiosphaerella narmari),
  • Take-all Patch (Gaeumannomyces graminis var. avenae)

Ectotrophic Root Infecting Fungi (ERI) [Spring and Summer strategy]

  • Couchgrass Decline (Gaeumannomyces graminis var. graminis),
  • Take-all Patch (Gaeumannomyces graminis var. avenae)

Impala Fungicide is a Liquid SC (Suspension Concentrate) that contains the dual active ingredients triticonazole and azoxystrobin.

Why is Azoxystrobin important;

  • Azoxystrobin is a xylem systemic fungicide that delivers excellent protection for up to 28 days against a wide spectrum of turf diseases.
  • Azoxystrobin is absorbed by the leaves and crowns of the plant, mostly within 24-48 hours of treatment.
  • Absorption through roots (after application to the root zone) normally happens over time and is facilitated by soil moisture.
  • It is transported acropetally (upwards) in the xylem.
  • This combination of systemic translocation and translaminar movement contributes to the even distribution and longevity of the active ingredient within the plant tissue.

Why is Triticonazole important;

  • Triticonazole is absorbed by the leaf, crown and roots.
  • Acropetal penetrant provides both contact and upward systemic activity (Xylem systemic – moves upwards in the xylem).
  • The Triticonazole contained in Impala Fungicide is both protective and curative as well as having contact and xylem systemic properties.

Features & Benefits

  • Contains the active ingredients Azoxystrobin and Triticonazole.
  • New active constituent triticonazole brings higher efficacy from the DMI-triazole family.
  • It is the only dual systemic turf fungicide that contains the highly regarded active constituent triticonazole.
  • Broad spectrum control of over 10 major turf diseases.
  • Allows for excellent flexibility for diseases attacking leaves, crowns and roots.
  • It is highly rainfast and quickly absorbed by leaves, crowns and roots of treated turf.
  • Fungal activity ceases quickly when applied as a curative application.
  • Consistent protection of new growth for up to 28 days after application.
  • Low poison schedule (Schedule 5 – CAUTION)
  • Leaf and Crown diseases – when applied, both active constituents will deposit on leaves and accumulate in crowns, thus ensuring optimal positioning for systemic redistribution, even to new growth.
  • Root diseases – when applied, both active constituents will give crown accumulation and root zone uptake. This will also ensure systemic redistribution through the entire plant.
  • Azoxystrobin is the only strobilurin (Qols) that can protect new growth through systemic movement (xylem systemic) for up to 28 days after the initial application.
  • Excellent longevity on the leaf surface for prevention of spore germination and infection.
  • Triticonazole gives significant root uptake when washed in after application. It will protect new growth through systemic movement (xylem systemic) when absorbed in crowns and through roots and can be redistributed through dispersion to all tissues.

Commercial Precautions:

Re-entry Periods:

  • Public – Do not allow entry into treated areas until the spray has dried.

  • Clothing must be laundered after each day’s use.

Limitations:

  • Impala fungicide is extremely phytotoxic to certain apple varieties.
  • Do not spray Impala Fungicide where spray drift may reach apple trees.
  • Do not spray when conditions favour drift beyond the area intended for application.
  • Conditions that may contribute to drift include thermal inversions, excessive wind speed,
  • certain sprayer nozzle/pressure combinations, small spray droplet size, etc.

Restraints:

  • Do not use this product through any type of irrigation system or ultra-low volume spray system.
  • Do not apply to turf under heat or moisture stress.
  • Do not apply to waterlogged soil.
  • Do not apply more than 1 application per year on Couch varieties C29, Greenlees Park, National
  • Park, Tifway, Sportsway and Wagga City.
  • Do not apply if heavy rains or storms that are likely to cause runoff are forecast within 3 days.
  • Do not irrigate to the point of runoff for at least 3 days after application.

Home Garden Preparation:

  • Before pouring, shake the container vigorously, then add the required quantity of Impala Fungicide to clean water in a garden sprayer (or watering can) and mix thoroughly.

Integrated Pest Management:

  • Not compatible with integrated pest management (IPM) programs utilising beneficial arthropods. Minimise spray drift to reduce harmful effects on beneficial arthropods in non-crop areas.

Risk to non-target insects:

  • Impala Fungicide may have adverse effects on some non-target beneficial insects, in particular predatory bugs.
  • This should be taken into account when Integrated Pest Management utilising these organisms is practised.
